Rachel Crips was fantastic to work with. Really good at figuring out what I wanted and helped hubby and I work through compromises that worked with our budget. Highly recommend electric blinds if you can budget for them... or wait until they are free to install. We have 2 floor to ceiling windows - one needed 2 blinds for the space - and two other regular sized windows. They are on the same remote so we can close all of them at once or just a couple. Also great as we used to have to close the curtains all the way to stop the sun cooking us but now we can just close the blind a couple of feet and still have the great view. Can also close the blinds at night but leave one up high enough that our dog can look out the window. Have connected the bedroom blind remote to the blind above the hallway stairs which is also super handy.
I am glad I kept the curtains in the bedroom as light comes in around the edges so pulling the curtains slightly blocks that and for extra quiet, warmth and darkeness the curtains are great. Again, it's great to be able to lower the blind a couple of feet so we can lay in bed watching telly without the sun in our eyes.
